Considering the negative consequences of lifestyle that we follow today, we must take out some time to exercise. If you are looking forward to join some yoga class, here are the few tips that can be beneficial for you. Take a trainer’s help before you start with asanas.
- Avoid a big meal at least 2-3 hours before your yoga practice.
- Wear comfortable fit or loose fitting clothes so that your movements are not restricted.
- Keep your yoga space or room clean and well ventilated.
- Never strain or overstretch while doing asanas. If you feel any sort of uncomfortable stretch in a pose, lessen the stretch by adjusting your body appropriately.
- Sip on hot water with lemon or honey to reenergise yourself and wash out the toxins after the yoga set.
- Use yoga props such as a cushion, blanket or towel whenever necessary for better adjustments in poses.
- Wait for at least 45-60 minutes before taking a shower after your yoga practice.
- If you feel pain anywhere during a pose, take it as a warning from your body. Your muscles in that particular region may not be flexible or strong enough for the pose. Don’t worry. You will surely reach there at your own pace.
- Yoga and breathing go hand in hand. As a rule, we always inhale in poses where we bend backwards or expand our chest. Exhale in poses when you bend forward or contract your chest or torso.
