    This Robot Can Swim and Climb

    Science keeps mesmerizing us with its progressions and new findings. In a fresh course of development, scientists have developed a robot that just like humans can swim, climb, and easily pass through uneven surfaces.

    Not to mention, this robot is a product of 3D printing technology, and it has been developed at the Ben-Gurion University of Negev, Israel. According to scientists, this first Single Actuator Wave-like (SAW) robot will have important roles to play in medical, security and rescue missions.

    The robot can climb and pass over the obstacles, and move slowly through uneven and unpredicted surfaces, such as sand and grass. As per the data provided by the project developers, SAW robo can attain a speed of 57 centimeters per second, which is a much faster rapidity than the innovations of previous and present generations.

    Additionally, this AI can move back and forth like a worm in wave motion, perpendicularly, in a 90-degree angle, say the scientists.

    Interestingly, the scientists and technologists have been trying to develop a machine like this for about a century, and this discovery seems to be the most positive breakthrough so far. The researchers working on the project gave statement to the media that they have successfully developed a simple and unique SAW robot that can be designed and functional in different sizes and for different motives, including medical and military.

    Favorite of millions of people, Coca Cola India has given a “thumbs down” to superstar Salman Khan. The beverage giant has canceled Salman’s ambassadorship of their brand Thums Up. Noticeably, Khan has been the representative of Thums Up for more than a decade. Now, the company has decided to not to continue with the host of Big Boss host.

    In fact, they are in conversation with Ranveer Singh, the new-generation heartthrob, to join them as the brand ambassador of Thums Up.

    Salman Khan’s ambassadorship contract ended last month and the company seems to be in no mood to renew it. However, Coca Cola India is yet to make a comment on this.

    The company has been trying to woo the young generation, following the footsteps of their rivalry, PepsiCo India. Salman, on the other hand, has already scored a fifty. Therefore, the company is looking for a new, young, and energetic face to be their representative in India. And, Ranveer Singh definitely fits into this image.

    Some sources from the company revealed that Salman Khan was an expensive affair for Coca Cola India. He takes about Rs. 5 Crores per annum for promoting a brand. That certainly is a massive figure. Additionally, the Dabang actor’s recent remarks on Pakistani artists have also contributed in this decision of Coca Cola.

    The protest for the association of smalltime Pakistani entertainers with Bollywood were so severe and strict that it already felt like Johar’s next movie is going to have tough time in India on his due release date. A couple of days, the association of theaters had made clear that they will not broadcast any movie that will have Paki actors in it.

    A NASA report reveals, the red planet Mars became a victim of Mega Tsunamis that were about 10 times more catastrophic than the ones we see here on earth. On Earth, tsunamis usually activate due to massive earthquakes, but on Mars, it happened when two large space-guided rocks hit the northern regions of the planet.

    The American space agency has found solid evidence of tsunami, thrashing the land and mountains of our red neighbor. As published in the journal, Scientific Reports, 120-meter-tall waves, resulted by the collision of a comet about 3.5 billion years back, flooded around 570,000 square kilometers of Martian area, which undoubtedly is greater than many Indian and American states, and nations like United Kingdom, France, etc.

    The second instance, which took place some million years after, another huge asteroid smashed into a frozen ocean, and the results were even more drastic. Rather than flooding the planet again, the comet drained away the already water-logged Martian plains.

    The scientists also gave a series of evidence and theories to prove their point. There are outsized craters and channels shaped by the disappearing water on Mars. However, there are many other theorists who do not agree to the ‘tsunami caused by space rocks philosophy.

    If you have an unconfirmed ticket for the 1st class AC coach of Rajdhani Express, there is nothing to worry about. Air India, in collaboration with the Indian Railways, has brought in an exciting offer for you. Under the scheme, you can travel by air without having to buy a separate ticket or pay a single extra penny for the air journey.

    The officials at IRCTC are in talks with their counterparts at Air India, and this scheme is about to launch, supposedly, in coming weeks. The agreement currently is in its last phase.

    The passengers with unconfirmed ticket on their scheduled date of journey will be given an option to travel by an Air India flight within 24 hours. For this, no additional charges will be applicable – for the ticket owners of 1st class ticket of Rajdhani Express, however the passengers with 2nd AC ticket will have to pay Rs. 1500 for the upgrade.

    Although it is a great move to polish the reputation of both – Indian Railways and Air India – in one go, it will be interesting to see whether the ‘Aam Janta’ accepts the scheme.

    Under the new scheme, the tickets of Air India will also be available on the IRCTC ticket booking website.
