Foreign media houses put a clear-headed question on safety of foreign nationals in India, when several reports of mob violence against African nationals in the national capital, Delhi and other cities like Goa surfaced a few days back. Some union government ministers too were seen registering ridiculous statements over the issue.
To rebuff the image of the government, the Foreign Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj, who enjoys the stature of one of the most popular names in the Modi squad, clarified that there is no rage against any race or nationality in India. Here’s what she tweeted –
I appeal to fellow Indians. Next time you meet an African citizen, pl shake hand and say ‘India loves you’.

Mrs. Swaraj also urged her followers to Retweet the tweet to spread the noble words. Though this message was retweeted more than 5700 times, the twitterati took this as an opportunity to broadcast their sense of humor. Check out the five most hilarious responses to the hashtag #IndiaLovesYou, originated by Sushma Swaraj –
