Were they gone after quitting sports how they live in what is their condition at present, no authority or fan search were they gone or now how they live. But despite that I am tell you one more tragic story of “World’s Youngest Marathon Runner” from Indian soil. Budhia Awooga Singh. We have very few young talented sportsman in India.
Budhia singh come from State of Odisha. Born in 2002 at very poor family. His father died in his early age. Due to poverty his mother sold him for 800Rs to a salesman. Budhia singh life turn after local Judo coach Biranchi Das saw his running ability at very young age and he paid back the salesman and take Budhia with him. One day Biranchi Das punished him to run and forgot about him, then go back to work and he returned after 5 hours, he was shocked Budhia was still running. After medical check-ups his heart was working normal even after running for hours. Then he started train him to run Marathons. By his efforts at the age of four. Budhia Singh run and completed 48 marathons, he covered distance between Bhubaneswar to Puri 65km(40Miles) in 7hr 2mins and get his name Listed as the World’s youngest marathon runner in “Limca Book of Records” in 2006.
Recently Odia Filmmaker Soumendra Padhi’s made a bollywood movie on his life story named “Duranto”. Manoj Bajpai as coach Biranchi Das Movie bagged 63rd National Film Award for the best children’s film this year 2016.
Biranchi Das was shot dead on 13 April 2008. At present Budhia is 14 years but loose his all abilities of running. He is at the Kalinga Stadium Hostel like other children’s.
