Ladies and gentlemen, after the massive, two-year-long success of El Nino, we give you La Nina!
Don’t worry, La Nina isn’t here to bother us, but to give a boost to the hopes of the growth of the Indian economy.
What is La Nina?
Like El Nino and Monsoon, La Nina is another effect that affects the rain and drought conditions on the continent. While El Nino, which in Spanish tongue implies little boy, is responsible for drastically increasing the global temperature, La Nina is known for bringing wet and cold spells.
El Nino, in fact, raises the surface temperature of the Pacific Ocean, which ultimately influences the global weather conditions and temperature. Notably, the ongoing impact of El Nino was the greatest in last hundred years.
The Australian Bureau of Meteorology hinted a couple of days back that the giant El Nino effect is over now, and it is the time for La Nina, the little girl, to form and regulate the ecosystem.
According to the agency, “La Nina is likely to develop between June and August, and it will create relief conditions for drought and heat hit areas in Asia and Asia-Pacific Regions.”
However, the scientists at the government and private weather channels assert that La Nina effect could also bring enormous rainfall, which could be reversibly discouraging for the economy.
