Japanese automotive manufacturer Toyota is all set to compete with Mercedes-Benz in luxury car segment in India with the launch of ES300h, RX450 h and LX450d. Toyota’s luxury division Lexus has marked it’s way for the first time in India and will have it’s dealerships in 4 cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Gurugram. The official launch date for the Lexus range in India is likely to be March 24, 2017. Initially, all three models will be fully imported from Japan via the CBU route, however the carmaker is currently gearing up for local assembly in India which will commence later.

Lexus RX450h Hybrid
An Atkinson-cycle V6 is paired with Lexus Hybrid Drive to deliver 308 total system horsepower and control without compromise. The Lexus RX is a mid-size luxury crossover priced at Rs 1.07 crore (ex-showroom, Mumbai) for RX Luxury variant and Rs 1.09 crore (ex-showroom, Mumbai) for RX F-Sport variant. This car is capable to mark 0-70 miles per hour in 7.7.seconds.
It has a 4.5-litre Diesel engine that produces 270PS of peak power and torque of 650 Nm. Priced around 2 crore, it will compete against the Range Rover in India.
