Samsung Launches Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8 Plus With Virtual Assistant Bixby

South Korean company Samsung launched two smartphones in Barcelona event on Wednesday night, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 plus with virtual assistant Bixby which competes with Apple’s Siri, Microsoft’s Kortana, Google’s Google assistant and Amazon’s Alexa. Interestingly, these new launched have no Home button and will work on user’s voice command. Selling of these smartphones will commence on 21 April.

Galaxy S8 and S8+ will be available in five colours such as midnight black, orchid gray, Arctic silver, coral blue and maple gold.

In terms of specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S8 features a 5.8-inch QHD+ (1440×2960 pixels) Super AMOLED display while the Galaxy S8+ sports a 6.2-inch QHD+ (1440×2960 pixels) Super AMOLED display. The company is terming these as Infinity Displays. Both of them also sport 12-megapixel ‘Dual Pixel’ rear camera with optical image stabilisation and an f/1.7 aperture, while there is an 8-megapixel front camera with autofocus on board as well, featuring an f/1.7 aperture. They come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage, and also support expandable storage up to 256GB.
