Mahakaushal Express derails near Kulpahad station in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh

Eight coaches of Jabalpur-Nizamuddin Mahakaushal Express (12189) derailed near Kulpahad station in Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh in which 9 passengers were injured, but no casualty has been found till now. The incident took place early on Thursday, around 2.30 am.

It was on it’s way from Jabalpur to Delhi when one coach of 2nd AC, three coaches of 3rd AC, and four sleeper coaches were derailed. An instant relief was sent to the site and injured passengers were admitted to nearest hospitals, but the cause of derailment is still unknown.

The Railway ministry has issued helplines at Jhansi, Gwalior, Banda and Nizamuddin stations to disseminate information to relatives of the passengers.
