Ohio: A Gunman opened fire at cameo club, Cincinnati, Ohio early on Sunday killing one and injuring 14 people. Since Saturday nights are usually very crowded in the club, four police officers were hired for extra security, out of which two were stationed at the club’s entrance and another two in the parking lot. On its Facebook page, the club describes its Saturday night event as a “grown and sexy night” for people aged over 21.
There were hundreds of people inside the club that night when gunfire broke out creating chaos and many young club goers fleeing the scene. As per police, more than one gunman is suspected to be linked with the incident. Cincinnati police is trying to nab the shooter, but no evidence related to terrorism has been found so far. The victims were taken to four local hospitals, some by ambulance and some by their own conveyance. The club is known to be associated with such tragedy earlier also. There was firing outside the club last year as well in which 2 people were wounded, but this was by far the worst.
The US had witnessed the deadliest mass shooting in June last year when a resident of
Florida Omar Mateen had opened fire inside Pulse nightclub in Orlando, killing 49 people and injuring 53 others. The Islamic State group had claimed responsibility for the shooting then.
