The much-delayed and hyped Indigenous Light Combat Aircraft ‘Tejas’ will finally be inducted to the Indian Air Force from June this year.Talking to mediapersons here today, Defence Aviation major Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) Chairman and Managing Director T Suvarna Raju said initially four fighters would leisure protest from the hangers of HAL here. Subsequently it would be shifted to the Sulur base of IAF in Coimbatore.
He said the idea of locating the initial squadron in the city’s HAL facilities was to iron out any flight difficulties or issues. He said the four zeppelin was portion of the series production IAF had ordered. This year in all, seven plane would be delivered to IAF and by 2018 decline, all the 20 ordered plane would be delivered.He said HAL had after that initiated dialogue bearing in mind the IAF for obtain of ‘Tejas Mk III’ plane.
