WhatsApp finally lets you send documents

Years after the launch of WhatsApp messaging service, finally good news for its users. The Facebook-owned WhatsApp Messenger will now be able to send documents over its chat facility. The company has officially announced that this new WhatsApp feature will be visible in the latest update of WhatsApp and users can get it directly from Google Play Store.

Updates Are Available:

The new update from WhatsApp Messenger is now available on its app store as well as on Google Play from where you can update your old version to new Android v2.12.453. However, iOS-based WhatsApp will also be receiving this latest updates via iOS v2.12.4. Including this update, WhatsApp is also providing a bunch of other features.

About The New Update:

  • On Android WhatsApp v2.12.453, users can have their eyeballs on the document option provided by the fresh update in the attachments section.
  • Excluding the older version users, all can see and use the latest updates of WhatsApp

  • Now, users will only send the PDF files but with later updates WhatsApp users can send all the files and docs with one another- nearer news sources said.
  • Before this update, users are usually getting six attachment option, including photo and video which is further updated to camera facility due to the addition of document sending feature. 
  • WhatsApp users will now be able to see shared docs next to Media and the newly-added Links tab.
  • However, for sharing doc files, both sender and receiver have to update their older version WhatsApp to new version- says official announcement.
  • Users can also send the doc files from iOS to Android provided with latest WhatsApp updates
  • Also, the latest version of WhatsApp adds more than 100 new emojis and Google drive backup for media, support, and chats for five new languages.
  • This new update is also tested with the new version of Android i.e. Android 6.0 Marshmallow and it works fine- says official announcement.
  • In WhatsApp iOS app, another key feature has been added through which users can now see the blue ticks that indicate message has been sent or received.
