Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani made another astonishing announcement on Tuesday for the Reliance Jio existing users and the new customers while addressing a press conference. The new offer is called Jio prime subscription plan, which is actually the extension of Reliance Jio Happy New Year offer. Now you can enjoy another year of unlimited mobile data at the expense of Rs 303 per month.
The prime membership plan costs you a registration fee of Rs 99 for the first month, plus Rs 303 per month or Rs 10 per day for the unlimited mobile data. Once you are a prime member, your Happy New Year offer gets extended until March 2018.
This offer is for the Reliance Jio users as well as for those who join the network before 31 March, 2017. You can take the subscription at MyJio app, go to any store or visit their website Jio.com. The enrolment starts on 1 March, 2017 and ends on 31 March, 2017.
If you choose not to buy the susbscription, you will have to pay for data and other services, but domestic voice calls and roaming will remain free. That means, the tariff plan begins on 1 April 2017.
The Jio prime comes just 170 days after the launch of Happy New Year offer, which now already has 100 million customers onboard. Now it remains to be seen how this another setback is taken by the rival telecom operators.
