Former Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf is in no mood to stay away from limelight. This time he has chosen to be part of a tv show on pakistan’s controversial news channel BOL TV. The show is known as ‘Sabse Pehlay with President Musharraf‘ which telecast every Sunday at 8pm. The first episode was aired on 26 February and invited controversies regarding it’s format. It follows question-and-answer format wherein Musharraf will answer from Dubai and tv anchor will be present in Karachi.
From Pakistan army chief to president, Pervez has been linked with many controversies. Cases against him in Pakistani courts are going on related to killing of premier Benazir Bhutto and Baloch leader Akbar Bugti. He was also booked for implementing emergency rule in 2007 and has been on a self-exile in Dubai after his travel ban lifted by the court in March last year.
Musharraf is in Dubai, but love for his country is evident from the programme’s name derived from his slogan “Pakistan first“. It remains to be seen whether he calls for more controversies or tries to clear the allegations through his new career.
